ICICI Bank recently launch a new way to recharge any prepaid mobile just using a SMS. Now recharge prepaid mobile is most simple than ever. ICICI Bank customer can recharge their mobile in just 3 steps.
How To Recharge Any Prepaid Mobile Through SMS:
- Send an SMS “MTOPUP” from your mobile to 9222208888
- Select Operator In The Next SMS
- Enter Enter Mobile number and amount in the next SMS
- Enter your 4 digit MPIN which is can be generated while registering
How To Generate MPIN For ICICI Bank Mobile Recharge:
- Generate MPIN is a One time process
- SMS MTOPUP to 9222208888
- select 0 at the opening menu
Why MPIN Is Required:
- MPIN is required due to security issue
- MPIN need to generate to approve payments over mobile banking

Hi,
It is suggested prepaid recharge only. But it requires atleast min bal 2.00 becoz this process is charging rs 1.50 from the a/c holder mobile.
Instead of paying Rs 1.50 each and every time it is better to go to outlet and get recharged.
It is advantage for Mobile operator like airtel,idea they can earn money in both ways like smsing charges and from topups.
It is not-at-all useful for bank customers(me).
My suggestion is give a toll-free number for making sms recharge it is good for us.
