Tata Indicom Cheating With RCV 2008
Tata Indicom Cheating With RCV 2008
Tata Indicom offered RCV 2008 for existing Tata Indicom customer availing 0-1-2-3(unlimited free to tataindicom for two years) plan. In RCV 2008, with recharge of Rs 2008 , Tata Indicom promise customers to provide Tata to Tata local phone free for 5 years till 2013.
In 2009, suddenly Tata Indicom changed plan & give only 600 minutes free to all existing RCV 2008 plan customer in case of unlimited free calls between Tata to Tata. Tata Indicom claimed this decision as Corporate decision. Also forwarded the corporate decision to customer email address when complained. Tata Indicom corporate also provide options to choose STVNSM ( Non Stop Tata to Tata ) for 51 Rs/ month.
Many Tata Indicom customer still stay calm instead of shameless & hopeless ethics of Tata Indicom. But suddenly in December 2009 & January 2010 , Tata Indicom stops all offer to existing Tata Indicom RCV 2008 plan customer. They need to pay Rs 225 to talk unlimited Tata to Tata local calls. This shameless decision of Tata Indicom corporate was not unbearable & some customers sued Tata Indicom in consumer court. Due to bypass sue, Tata Indicom again started offer 600 minutes free local call to Tata to Tata & also activated the SMS: STVNSM to 12524 to get Unlimited Tata to Tata calling option.
According to TRAI guideline, consumer need to appeal in court within 2 years against the irregularities of any Telecom complay. So Tata Indicom takes advantage of TRAI guideline & planned to stop all offers to Tata Indicom RCV 2008 plan customers. Now Tata Indicom RCV 2008 plan customers have no options to fight against the worthless decision of Tata Indicom as two years is already over.
Now Tata Indicom SMS to existing Tata Indicom RCV 2008 plan customer’s mobile & informed that Free 600 Minutes will be last credited to your mobile latest by 3rd September 2010 midnight. Also customers sending SMS: STVNSM to 12524 can not receive Offer activation SMS while Tata Indicom deduct Rs 51 from customer mobile balance.
Tata Indicom have to stop this shameless, ruthless act against customer. Tata Indicom is now a shame for Tata brand. Tata Indicom shame shame.

Hi,
Greetings from Tata Indicom!
In this regard we would like to clarify that Rs.2008 recharge provided Talk time of Rs.2008 and validity for 2008 days and our customers were enjoying the tariff as per their base plan.
At Tata Teleservices Limited, we regularly review our existing products, offerings and tariff plans to ensure that we stay on top of the industry curve and offer the best services to our growing list of subscribers at competitive prices.
As part of this initiative, we also studied the RCV 2008 plan, which was launched in December 2007.
It was observed that a year after the launch of the offer (in December 2008), subscribers who were latched on to this plan were still paying Rs 3 per minute to make STD calls and Rs 2 per minute to make local calls. In the one year since the scheme was launched, industry rates and tariffs have become most competitive and prices have been moved down.
To provide relief and benefit of the reduced call rates to these subscribers, the company took a decision for sharp downward revision of the tariffs and accordingly the tariff for STD calls were reduced to Rs 1.50 per minute from Rs 3 per minute (a 50% reduction) and tariff for local calls were reduced to Rs 0.50 per minute from Rs 1.5 per minute (a 75% reduction)
The current plan also provides you free 600 minutes of Tata to Tata calls for the month. Further in case you would like to enjoy the benefit of unlimited Tata to Tata free calls, you can do so by recharging with Special Tariff Voucher Rs 51 with a validity of 30 days.
We would assure that Tata Teleservices will not do anything detrimental to the interest of its valued customers.
We sincerely hope that after taking into consideration the above facts, you will appreciate the decision of the company for providing the benefit of reduced call tariffs to the subscribers like you who were paying higher tariffs for STD and local calls.
Should you require any further assistance please mail us at Customer.care@tatatel.co.in.
Thanks and Regards
