Swine flu (H1N1 flu virus) is an influenza like illness, where primary symptoms are very much similar to those of influenza i.e. cough, sneeze, running nose, fever, headache, body-ache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, sore throat etc.

For at least past 150 years homeopathic practitioners have used the medicine INFLUENZINUM as a flu preventive. Influenzinum is a homeopathic medicine made from flu viruses. So, this homeopathic medicine Influenzinum-200 may be taken as a preventive medicine. Two drops of Influenzinum-200 should be taken on two consecutive days in a week for four weeks,with water.

 Following medicines are also helpful for the symptoms as mentioned:

• ALLIUM CEPA – 200 : Sneezing, running nose, fluent coryza with headache,cough and hoarseness, watery eyes, burning sensation in eyelids.(Take two drops with water thrice for a day for infants Alliun cepa-30)
• BELLADONA-200 : A high feverish state. Feet icy cold. No thirst during fever.Tingling sensation in tip of nose . Red and swollen.Bleeding from nose. Cough may be mixed with blood.Take two drops with water 3 hourly for three times.(For infants Belladona-30)
• EUPATORI PERF-200 : Fever with severe headache and body ache. Perspiration relieves all symptoms except headache. Hepatic region sore vomiting preceded by thirst. Frequent green,watery stool. .take 2 drops with water 3 hourly for three times. (For infant Eupatori Perf-30)
• GELSEMIUM-200: During fever patient needs to be held, because he shivers. Slowness of breathing with great prostration Vertigo. Heaviness of head and occipital headache.Headache with muscular soreness of neck, shoulder & scalp. Patients wishes to have head raised.Take two drops 3 hourly for three times.For infants Gelsemium-30)
• MERC BIN-IOD-200 : For left sided throat pain. Take 2 drops with water 3 hourly for three times (For infant Merc-Bin-Iod-30)
• MERC-PRO-IOD-200 : For right sided throat pain. Take 2 drops with water three hourly. (For infants Merc-Pro-Iod-30)
